BUILDING STRONGER FAMILIES IN PERU

The work of Isaiah Projects in Peru is varied and far reaching. This new family ministry was birthed out of a vision to strengthen and build families within the churches and communities that Isaiah Projects is currently working in. It is a vision to train local leaders who will then continue the ministry in their local churches and communities. We partner with the ministry team under Alex Cortrina, Mision Cristiana La Gloria de Dios (Christian Mission to the Glory of God) and host 3 day family conferences that invite 10-15 couples to come together to study and discuss important aspects of growing a strong marriage and parenting relationship. The topics include: The Five Love Languages (author: Dr. Gary Chapman); The Five Languages of Apology (author: Dr. Gary Chapman); personal and family finances/budgeting/debt repayment/saving and investing; setting healthy personal boundaries. A large part of each session focuses on the importance of communication within marriage and family. Every couple goes home with a small library of resources to continue their study and to support them in leading small groups in their community. The goal of this ministry is to "train the trainers" and provide the resources for these church leaders to reach out and build the families in their communities
